We support women led grassroots initiatives focused on ecosystems conservation and restoration. We partner with other non-profit organizations, both on and off the ground, who share our values and whose mission is aligned with ours, to support projects of proven impact and integrity.
Guinea (Westafrika)
Nachhaltige Landwirtschaft und Imkerei
Wir unterstützen unseren Schweizer Partner Nouvelle Planète bei der Umsetzung eines nachhaltigen Landwirtschafts- und Imkereiprojekts im Dorf Maléya Labifou, Unterpräfektur Kolenté, Region Kindia, Guinea (Westafrika), zusammen mit einer organisierten Gruppe von Frauen aus der lokalen Gemeinschaft. Das Projekt wird die Ernährungssicherheit und das Einkommen des Dorfes verbessern und gleichzeitig den Boden, den Wald und das Ökosystem schützen.
Kenya (Africa)
Habitat Recovery for Lion Conservation
Lion population in Kenya has decreased dramatically, due to habitat loss, conflict with humans, large-scale infrastructure projects, and climate change. We have partnered with the local NGO Ewaso Lions to support an organized group of local Samburu women called Mama Simba (Mothers of Lions). All year round Mama Simba perform habitat recovery tasks that are beneficial for the lions, the whole ecosystem, and the community.

Indigene Frauen Waldpatrouille und Wiederaufforstung von Schutzgebieten
Wir unterstützen unsere lokale Partnerorganisation Nuraga Bhumi bei der Stärkung ihres Programms für indigene Waldpatrouillen, um die illegale Jagd auf Wildtiere und den illegalen Holzeinschlag zu verhindern, und bei der Wiederaufforstung eines Schutzgebiets, das früher eine Palmölplantage war. Sie schützen und erhalten das Regenwaldgebiet, das an das Weltnaturerbe Gunung Leuser angrenzt.
